I spent yesterday at the piercing parlor and finished a hat for Jose. It's a very long elf hat that has a great swing to it. A lot of people saw it and fell in love with it! I got to pass out a lot of business cards and several customers showed interest in buying stuff from me. :D
Today I will start on another Gryffindor scarf. I was commissioned to make an adult scarf and a baby sized scarf for some very good friends of mine.
Later I'll be dining with my awesome boyfriend and maybe catch a movie. I get free dinner at Provino's and I got free movie tickets for Christmas that I have to use. It isn't often that I get to go out and do stuff with my boyfriend, especially since we have different sleeping schedules.

Commissions!
I've been working on a few commissions. One is for the new company I'm knitting for, AK Kerani. I've already got that one shipped off.
I've finished a really nifty hat with blue flames and skulls on it. Pics later.
Right now I'm working on a baby blanket with a feather and lace pattern. :3

Hole Puncher
For the past couple of weeks I've been helping out my friend at a piercing parlor inside of a flea market. His boss has been out of town for personal reasons and the only other piercing artist is on maternity leave. Since I've helped out, the parlor has been doing great in sales.
This weekend, my friend's boss has asked for me personally to help out the booth. I'm so excited! I've always wanted to be a piercing artist and this is definitely the right direction I need to take. My sister-in-law bought me a book all about it and I've been studying up!
I only wish that the flea market was open all week so that I could have more time to be an apprentice and hone my skills.
Wish me luck!

Switching from Tumblr
I didn't really like Tumblr very much, so I've decided to try out Blogger. I'm going to try to carry over some of my previous posts including a tutorial on how to make a pillbox hat and some random pics of my work. I want to make connections and network a little. I want to see other people's knitting projects or find some interesting how-to's.
Hopefully I'll find a little more of what I want here. I didn't like how you couldn't really make comments on Tumblr. It was mostly micro-blogging and people reposting other things. I'm not feeling it.
